I'll follow your advice. It doesn't matter to me what he does as long as he's willing to do it with me. It would be nice to see him with a few less bruises from someone who isn't me.
[That's the sound of Karen's voice tiredly laughing outside Elektra's door. There's even a knock after, though she doesn't need it to announce her presence. Yeah, Karen's a big fat nerd and shuffled her ass all the way here. ]
Come on, let me in. I'm about to strain myself out here.
[She laughs in return because Karen truly surprised here. That sound is Elektra jumping off her bed to get the door. She's like a kid delighted at having her playdate show up early. The moment she sees Karen in front of her, she's pulling her into a hug.] You're awful!
[Which is why she sounds so happy about it. Elektra only breaks it off to shoo her into the room and lock the door behind them.]
[Karen's missed Elektra, so she clings a little tightly during that hug.] Guilty as charged. [She laughs, reluctantly pulling away as Elektra gets her into the room. She promptly goes over to sit on the edge of the bed. She's feeling better now, but is still tired.]
So... [She starts to speak, smiling in a knowing kind of way.]
[Elektra slots in next to Karen. She seems very chipper if only because it's felt like forever.] They're better. It's impossible to stay angry at him when he's sad. He did apologize for everything.
[Here's where she pauses. It'd be smarter to never speak of this, but she wants to be honest with Karen. Part of that isn't censoring the past. She looks uncomfortable as she explains it.] And upon reflection I realize it wouldn't be fair to hold a grudge forever. He was pretty nasty to me when we first started working together, but he still did it despite the mistake I made before we parted ways. I owed him the same courtesy.
